Daily Prompt

Rainy Hideaway

The rain just keeps on pouring down

Angrily colliding with the rooftop on its fall from the heavens

It rains with the tone of authority

It’s washing away the grime, the dirt, the sins

From my little hideout in the corner I watch the drops impact all around and I wish…

Pour over me rainfall, and wash me clean

I long to be as green and as fresh as the grass you cleansed in your wake

With droplets of water adorning each blade, creating a field full of jewels

The earth is clean now, and I am too

❤ truly
